Recognize a special caregiver or an entire hospital team as Caring Spirits.
Whether you have a life-saving operation or just a few stitches—being in a hospital can be a stressful experience. When a caregiver’s words or actions ease that anxiety, when they provide the best care possible, it can make all the difference. Our Caring Spirit program gives you the chance to recognize a special caregiver, employee, or entire team by making a donation in their name towards priority medical equipment.
How your Caring Spirit gift helps
Your gift will be used in accordance with your wishes, and attributed towards priority medical equipment that improves care for patients. More than that, it also acknowledges the care you have received and allows you to connect with your caregiver in a meaningful way.
How your Caring Spirit is recognized
People you recognize as Caring Spirits are always deeply touched. They receive recognition from their supervisors and peers, a special Caring Spirit pin, and a letter of congratulations that doesn’t disclose the amount of your gift. A Caring Spirit certificate is given to the individual or unit manager and displayed if possible—this is a way to remind staff throughout each long day that their work matters and is appreciated.
If you wish, you may share a quote, story and/or your name with your Caring Spirit(s).
How to recognize a Caring Spirit
If your Caring Spirit is an individual, please remember to share their first and last name if you know them, and the hospital and department they work in. Recipients are incredibly touched when they are told why they are nominated for this award—if you wish to, please share these details with us so we can pass your sentiments to them.
