Shine a Light on Our Hospital Heroes this Holiday Season
December is a time to reflect on the past year and celebrate those who make exceptional contributions to our community. We can’t think of anyone more deserving of recognition than our local Hospital Heroes, whose dedication to keeping our community safe and healthy is nothing short of inspiring—now, more than ever.
This is our opportunity to thank them as we near the end of another challenging and unpredictable year.
This holiday season, we asked Island Health employees to nominate a peer from Royal Jubilee, Victoria General, or Gorge Road hospitals and help us Shine a Light on their exceptional contributions to local healthcare in our community.

As a Foundation, we’re your fellow community members. We’re dedicated to connecting your generosity with the needs of our Hospital Heroes. Victoria’s Hospital Heroes make an impact across the Island.
Our heroes may do their work locally, but their impact is felt far and wide. Royal Jubilee and Victoria General hospitals are Vancouver Island’s two largest hospitals. They are our referral centres for specialty, advanced, and critical care. Over 850,000 Vancouver Island and Gulf Island residents rely on Victoria’s Hospital Heroes.
