Caring Spirit: RJH Cardiovascular Unit

Congratulations to the Cardiovascular Unit at Royal Jubilee Hospital on receiving a Caring Spirit award! A grateful family of a patient in their care wanted to recognize CVU staff, nurses and surgeons for the outstanding treatment they received. Our Cardiac teams perform 3-5 cardiac surgeries every day on patients from all over Vancouver Island. Because of the medical equipment available today, our doctors and nurses are able to save lives they may not have been able to save just a few years ago. This is the CVU’s third Caring Spirit award in honour of the dedicated care they provide.

Royal Jubilee Hospital has one of the top-rated Cardiac programs in Canada, so it’s no surprise the Cardiovascular Unit has received this honour. The Victoria Hospitals Foundation would like to thank the donor for their generous gift, and to congratulate the RJH Cardiovascular Unit on the well-deserved recognition! We want the entire community to hear about the incredible impact our caregivers have at Royal Jubilee and Victoria General hospitals.

They will receive recognition from their supervisors and peers, a special Caring Spirit pin and a letter of congratulations that doesn’t disclose the amount of your gift. Caring Spirit has funded hundreds of important pieces of medical equipment throughout Royal Jubilee and Victoria General hospitals.
