VIBRANT, COMMUNITY-DRIVEN REALTOR GROUP PLEDGES $165,000 IN SUPPORT OF WEST SHORE COMMUNITY, LOCAL HOSPITALS
Victoria, BC — Ahead of its second annual Miracle on the Mountain gala, the Victoria Hospitals Foundation is proud to share exciting news—Engel & Völkers: The Ratcliff Group is pledging an inspiring $165,000 in support of the West Shore event, and the cause it benefits.
“We are committed to strengthening the communities we call home—this is why we have proudly joined the Victoria Hospitals Foundation in transforming healthcare locally through the Miracle on the Mountain gala,” says Amy Ratcliff, Team Manager at Engel & Völkers: The Ratcliff Group.
“Last year’s gala was an inspirational philanthropic event—by our communities, for our communities,” adds Ratcliff. “It was a perfect testament to the generosity of the West Shore.”
The Ratcliff Group first led the way for the Miracle on the Mountain gala in 2022, as presenting sponsors of the inaugural gala—a title they will hold for the next five years. Amy and her husband, Real Estate Advisor Lewis Ratcliff, shared the Foundation’s vision for a signature West Shore philanthropic event that benefits Victoria General Hospital, and are proud to continue its legacy.
“Amy and Lewis’ pledge is an inspiring act of philanthropy, and a shining example of putting your community first,” says Avery Brohman, Chief Executive Officer for the Victoria Hospitals Foundation. “The generosity of The Ratcliff Group will resonate throughout Victoria General Hospital, and the West Shore—and for that, we are deeply grateful.”
In addition to The Ratcliff Group’s sponsorship, it is of note that Amy chairs the steering committee for the 2023 Miracle on the Mountain gala. Ratcliff is giving time, talent, and financial support to elevate the event, and benefit the Foundation.
This year’s gala will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Westin Bear Mountain Resort. The sold-out event will host 300 guests and will feature a four-course, sit-down dinner, live entertainment, and live and silent auctions.
Last year’s event raised $430,000 for priority equipment for Victoria General Hospital.
Every year, 130,000 patients pass through the doors of Victoria General Hospital. It is the busiest healthcare centre on the Island, and serves as the referral centre for maternity, pediatric, trauma, and neurosciences for all 860,000 Vancouver Island residents. 40% of the equipment in the hospital is funded by donors to the Victoria Hospitals Foundation.
